Syncline
Syncline is a Shopify app that keeps your products and inventory in two-way sync with a Google Sheet.
What Syncline does
Syncline is a Shopify application published by Second Act Labs. It connects a merchant's Shopify store to a Google Sheet that Syncline creates in their Google Drive, and keeps the two in sync in both directions.
When a merchant edits a price, SKU, title or stock level in the spreadsheet, Syncline writes that change to their Shopify store. When someone changes a product in the Shopify admin, Syncline writes that change back into the spreadsheet. This lets merchants manage a product catalogue in a spreadsheet without exporting and re-importing files.
Why Syncline requests access to your Google Account
Syncline requests the drive.file scope so it can create and update the single spreadsheet it makes for you. This scope grants access only to files the application itself creates — Syncline cannot see, list, open or modify any other file in your Google Drive.
Syncline also requests openid, email and profile so it can display which Google account is connected, allowing you to confirm you linked the intended account.
Syncline does not request the spreadsheets scope or the full drive scope, because drive.file is sufficient for the spreadsheet it creates.
